Are you ready to take your girls on a Shipwreck'd adventure? Then join us at Tomahawk Ranch and have some fun while you explore the adventures of a pirate! Sleep in cabins with heat and indoor bathrooms, eat amazing food, girls will participate in an escape room, geocaching, boat racing, sword fighting and more!!


Food, lodging, shirt and patch are included! Plan to arrive between 5:00 – 6:00 pm. Supper will be served Friday night at Camp slightly after 6:00 pm.                                                                                                                                       

Price: $80 per girl and $70 per adult - you can use cookie credits to pay for camp

Resources for JR/CSA Encampment:

  • We will be hosting a logistics meeting on Monday, March 16th, 2020 from 6:00 - 7:30 pm at Northglenn Christian Church 1800 E. 105th Place, Northglenn. We will be in room 207. If you are unable to attend due to distance, please read over the leader packet thoroughly. The Woods SU leaders are expected to attend this meeting.


  • Leader packet with all the necessary Encampment Information/Forms for printing. 
    The following document will be updated closer to the Encampment - please check back

Leader packets will be given out at this meeting. Completed packet must be brought to camp. If you are a leader outside of The Woods SU and you are coming to our logistics meeting, please let Jordan know this so we make sure to have a copy of the leader packet for you.


  •  Camp is from April 24th at 5:00 pm to April 26th, 2020 around 11:00 pm


  • Required Training to be able to take your girls on this encampment
  • Slope – Overnights – Online at gsLearn under MyGS tab on GSCO WebsightOvernights are 1 – 2 nights with your troop either staying in a hotel, having a sleepover in a museum, a troop camp, or camping (*camping trips requires cooking and camping training also) Recommend planning 6 months to 1 year in advance
  • CPR & First Aide TrainingRequired to take girls even on Field & Day Trips, Overnights, Regional and National Trips, & International Trips – at least one adult needs to be certified and in attendance of these events. Please check your certifications as these are only usually good for 2 years, and then needs to be renewed in a renewal class if not expired.Check GSCO Events Calendar, but more than likely you will need to find an outside vendor - scroll below for some resources that offer classes.
  • First Aid/CPR Vendors in the metro area
  • Cooking and Camping - In person! Required before cooking outdoors and/or camping with your troop on a trip.Check GSCO Events Calendar to see when class is offered. You'll spend the day flexing some outdoor skills muscles. You want to have safe, organized, fun and memorable camping trips with your girls - let us help you get prepared! Prerequisite: Slope - Overnight Trips training.
